Ann
PATH Certified Instructor
Ann first discovered the magic of HorseAbility’s mission in the late 1990s at the Thomas School of Horsemanship where Ann boarded and rode her horse and where HorseAbility had been based. She quickly became a supporter and donor. In 2020, shortly after her retirement from a career in law enforcement, Ann became a volunteer, leading members of our amazing herd and walking alongside our extraordinary riders in lessons. She also devoted several hours a week to working in the barn under the guidance of HorseAbility’s barn manager and gained valuable experience and knowledge in horse care and management. All of this, coupled with her years of competing on Long Island’s horse show circuit, inspired her to become a certified therapeutic riding instructor through PATH, Intl. After completing HorseAbility’s instructor training program, she received her certification in June 2023. Ann has a law degree and in her spare time also serves on the board of a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting active and retired military and first responders.
