“There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a Volunteer.”

Volunteer Opportunities

The bond that forms between our riders and volunteers as they lead our horses and walk beside our riders is something you can experience even if you have never worked with horses before. Whether it is working with our students and horses, working around the barn or helping in the office, there is something here for everyone! Come join our team!

HorseAbility welcomes volunteers ages 14 and up.

Community Service

Volunteers are the backbone of our programs. Horse knowledge and experience is not a necessity. We will teach you all you need to know through an orientation and training program for all new volunteers that is both educational and comprehensive. Proper horse-handling techniques and safety precautions are emphasized. Staff and senior volunteers will work with you to give you the tools and skills you need to be a successful volunteer.

Volunteers are needed to assist with horse care, barn chores, lessons, treatment sessions, camp, outreach, fundraising, office work, and facility maintenance.

Corporate/Group Opportunities

Group volunteer opportunities are great for religious organizations, colleges and universities, high schools, and corporate teams. Help on the farm or with a special event.

HorseAbility has worked with and been a beneficiary for many Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts for their service projects.
